[Sex: female] [Birthday: 10-15-51] [I found this site through a Search Engine] I spent about 3 weeks at a mining claim near Cave Junction as well as other places in the area, one being a place they called Del's crash pad for newcomers coming in from CA. This would have been in Sept. of 1968. Does anyone remember this/ I know that Del's wife taught school for the kids. I also remember going to pick corn at someone's farm as well as other occasions to pick other crops that we got to keep anything bruised that they couldn't sell. I remember a bunch of us eating the corn raw cause it was so sweet and we all came down with dysentary. I remember getting food allottments from the state and once an Indian friend brought a deer for us to cook. I was a runaway at the time with my boyfriend David Bonardi. He had been there before. He left to make some money in CA and I left shortly after to go find him in Laguna Beach. Needless to say I got picked up 3 weeks later in Del Mar and was sent home..Bummer. She passed away in January, and requested that I bring her ashes back to the only home she had. She shared so many stories, I called her my little flower child.
