This is a photo of my eldest son, Jamal, in the "old courtyard" in front of the "old kitchen".
Jamal was probably about 3 years old and had taken his first, and possibly only, LSD trip. (He had found a couple tiny orange candies..."Sunshine"... in a tiny glass bottle on a windowsill. His trip went well. He was one big beaming smile. He just couldn't stand up strait.)
It blows my mind how his hair was so soft and fluffy at this age. Compare it to about 20 years later when it became black, thick and totally curly, like his Mom's. See The Kids.

...This is also a good and memory-enhancing pic of the front of the Old Kitchen. The watering cans are completely familiar. But what's on the window shelf? What's in the carton? And note the "WOMEN WORKING" sign--SO politically incorrect!...
