Thank you Ted and all Sunnyridgers, for honoring
Lefty this way. As I said in the Secret Garden last
April, he was totally taken with SR, and the commune
way of life.
A brief synopsis of his life follows:
At 17, enlisted in Navy-flew B-24's-Tail Gunner
He was a total nervous wreck when discharged.
Worked for "Ma Bell"(Mountain States Tel & Tel Co.)
Had three 'nervous breakdowns'in 25 years.
In 1971, received medical retirement from MST&T Co.
Moving to CJ in 1971 was the best thing ever.
Lefty was like a 'guru' to many people in this town.
Very spiritual, but 'human' spirituality!!
He finally was at peace with himself before he died!!
It was GOOD.

Steve Fasano, with the white cap, shared a house with me in New Paltz. Great rent in those days. Only $65 a month for a whole house. While living there I took many "trips", wallpapered the kitchen with newspaper, brought a rock in from outside for the coffee table that weighed about 100 pounds and was great for those candles and paraphanalia, got the Hong Kong flu and a case of the crabs.
