I wonder when this was. I have only one memory of snow at Sunnyridge. It was rare. I had just gotten my first tooth pulled and was sick from the infection spreading in my body...I was kinda delirious...remember standing out in the snow at sunset in the courtyard totally enthralled by the giant flakes and pink hue all around.

The first winter (1968) was very snowy. We had to dig tunnels practically to get to the outhouse and to the kitchen. The men had to get wood on foot, cutting down any standing dead. Later in the spring, the stumps were 4 feet tall. I don't know if that's what this picture is though. I believe they said it was the snowiest winter in 40 years or something. Do you remember it that way Barbara?

This was earlier on; Melnick had not yet added the Kitchen windows...Temps went below freezing and snow fell during the Winter of '72, I believe, for about 10 days.
